A write-in for me wouldn't be counted in Delaware.

I actually had a co-worker make a "Shirley for President 2010" sign with my employee ID picture. He thought of the campaign slogan himself:

"Enough is Enough !"

Hey, you never know. I ain't over the hill yet.a most peculiar naturehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13131721132161386999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7893272060787897238.post-38470210574436646732008-08-07T11:26:00.000-04:002008-08-07T11:26:00.000-04:00"and are only interested in working with politicia..."and are only interested in working with politicians that can return the favor..."

Some of us are finding that most "bikers" (note quotation marks) are not interested in dealing with politicians at all.

And some are recognizing that not having the economic clout as say a telecommunications lobbyist, that engaging in the necessary evil on a "have to" basis is akin to "pissing in the wind". Something most bikers are not inclined to do, even with a windshield.

Many are finding that court challenges are more effective(Ex. Florida's Helmet law was actually declared unconstitutional prior to the legislature thinking it might be a good idea to "modify" it). But also long drawn out expensive affairs.

I myself have begun to wonder why I bothered to tune in, turn off and drop back in.

Unfortunately, not being able to afford sturgis I missed the opportunity to mingle w/ celebrities such as McCain, Kid Rock, Jay Leno and probably acquaintances of Ms. Huffington.

But then he ain't getting my vote anyway. The same with Obama and Ron Paul.

I'm writing in Shirley. She understand both Bikers and America.

Who Rah? rcaka rchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12663751116625171199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7893272060787897238.post-30915309614256325282008-08-06T11:33:00.000-04:002008-08-06T11:33:00.000-04:00Huffington Post forgot to mention the vibrator rac...Huffington Post forgot to mention the vibrator races. I have, and it is going to give a VERY distinctive pattern on the Nolan chart...

Very high percentages of libertarian scores, fair numbers of centrists, and a lot of "lopsided" scores that are like 90/10 or so - mostly low on the economic side, I suspect because of poor gov't schooling... (I'd get more questions about the meaning of the economic freedom questions)

A gun show booth gives almost as libertarian a spread, but not quite...

The problem with getting the support of this naturally libertarian constituency is that the leadership of the motorcyclists rights community (which I was part of for many years) is very practical / cynical - the bikers have a political agenda on items ranging from helmet laws to global standards harmonization, and are only interested in working with politicians that can return the favor...

Until we can predictably start getting libertarians elected, we won't get much help from the bikers, but when we hit that tipping point they will be a valuable asset.

ARTAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
