I am not sure if currency matters if we start thinking of all of ourselves and supporting each other as Americans. Or the Alternative I like best is to allow all the American currencies to compete together inside each American country until one comes to dominate the others... then we use silver and gold as our standard, but that is too libertarian for some people.
