Taser More Kids For Human Rights....

....It is stories like this that lead me to believe we have a human rights problem in the United States. OK guys, joke is over, bring back the 4 th Amendment. April 25, 2008- A Chicago man who was in critical condition for five days after police used a Taser to subdue him outside an Ohio bar died Thursday evening. Kevin Piskura , 24, was pronounced dead at 4:17 p.m. Chicago time of injuries suffered when police in Oxford, Ohio, fired the stun gun at him early Saturday morning. At the Cincinnati hospital where he was transferred, Piskura was surrounded by friends and family who had been keeping a vigil. Police said Piskura was fighting with an officer and ignored warnings to stop. A 2006 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Piskura grew up in Ohio. He moved to Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood after graduation. In a statement released through the hospital, the Piskura family said they were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and thanked medical staff for their efforts...

A Rich Market for Some, Starvation for Many

I have to warn you. This is a resource rich article and it may take time to read, but to sum it up, mercantilism is causing the food crisis led by investment in inefficient corn and wheat and rice biofuels and coupled with protectionism that prevents us from getting food from the US to where it needed and increased gas prices that are also based on mercantilistic markets and not supply and demand. If you have time and are interested in the world food crisis, it is worth the time it takes to read. Food crises are not new. Throughout the 1860's Ireland suffered one of the most devastating food crisis ever recorded. Almost a million people died according to most of the books on the The Great Hunger . Today's food crisis is no different. It is an Irish style famine in mass and effecting the poorest people in the world. Is it a crisis of capitalism? . . . . and this time it's the public school system in Safford AZ, where a pre-pubescent middle school girl was forced by administrators to strip to her skivvies and then shake her breasts and pelvis to see if. . . a gun (no, that's not it). . . . a knife (no, not that, either). . . . but maybe some heroin (nope). . . . crack or even powdered coke (uh-uh). . . . or just a doobie (not even). . . . but (oh, yeah, now I remember) a single prescription 400mg Ibuprofen. Let's Taser All The Kids

Great idea, we should taser all the kids at least once, arrest them and hold them in prison for emotional disturbances. It is so much easier then getting them psychological help when they need it. This sure is the right way to "detain and restrain" bad and psychologically disturbed kids. This is how all Republics treat their citizens. Think it was much worse when we used to make kids work in factories right?
