SCCORing Libertarian Wendy Jones at the 19th District Candidate Forum

Longtime Sussex County Libertarian activist Wendy Jones has declared for what I guess has to be called the Thurman Adams memorial family-owned State Senate seat , and attended the candidate forum hosted by SCCOR along with GOPer Joe Booth. Here are the reviews from the SCCOR discussion site regarding how well the audience thought she did: The libertarian (candidate?) had more open and honest responses instead of a lot of sound bite monitoring and party-line bullcrap that Mr. Booth's answers resembled. ... "Wendy" Jones, the Libertarian candidate, for I believe she is running, I thought she did a GREAT job. I wish I lived in that district so I could vote. It's not fair. Wendy would have my vote in a heartbeat. Regardless of her political experience, I felt she represented MY opinions very well. ... I liked most of Wendy's answers too...the delivery wasn't great...doesn't bother me but it could hurt her chances. ... Wendy had better "lines" but th...

Brian Shields SCCORs

Jaunt over to The Mourning Constitution for a first-hand report by Brian on his visit to the latest SCCOR meeting. He breaks it down pretty thoroughly and the whole piece deserves your attention. Here are the money quotes: The SCCOR is nowhere near as radical and evil as our friends at Delaware Liberal has made them out to be. They have some crazy ideas that I admit are out there.... Aside from the odd quirk, the SCCOR is, on the surface, exactly as it says it is. It is a political grassroots group who believes that the people are the real power in politics, and are trying to motivate more political involvement. Their views are damn near as Republican as the Republican Party used to be before the crazies took over, and naturally they have a strong GOP contingient. Thanks, Brian.

SCCOR scores; Snooze Journal fails

I props to Angel Clark of SCCOR for managing to secure her group a front-page puff piece in today's WNJ ; as the group's public relations director she has achieved her goal. The WNJ, which has some talented reporters in Ginger Gibson and Rachel Kipp, however, got taken for a ride. Here's why: 1) The reporter didn't bother to interview anybody even vaguely critical of SCCOR; we know the WNJ staff reads the blogosphere, so how could they have missed the large numbers of folks worried about the use of language [even if I disagreed with them completely, their concerns are part of the story]. 2) The reporter is apparently blissfully ignorant of the Bill Colley Catholic Lord's Prayer controversy, and SCCOR's insistence on a particular Protestant version of that prayer at all their meetings. Instead, the article just mentions WGMD as fueling SCCOR without mentioning the controversy. 3) If the report was going to mention the group targeting certain politicians for def...

News flash: SCCOR is composed of protestant zealots....

... who appear to have anti-Catholic and even anti-Semitic feelings to go along with their anti-abortion and anti-gay rights agenda. I'm not sure who was surprised by this--except maybe Bill Colley. But then, that makes SCCOR similar to groups like the Nation of Islam, doesn't it? What it doesn't make those folks, however, is violent. Everybody in certain circles of the Delaware blogosphere seems to have forgotten Voltaire .

Inspector Clouseau and the Ladies No. 1 Defective Agency uncover the seamy truth about SCCOR

OK, gee, I guess I must have been completely wrong about the Sussex County Community Organized Regiment . They are obviously gearing up to bring squirrel guns and poison gas to the polls in order to stage an armed revolt to retake the Indian River Bridge from the dark forces (did I say, "dark"? bad racist person) of the police state. jason, boy genius, has braved personal injury to bring us the hideous evidence that SCCOR is ... is ... planning to engage in political activities, and has ... has ... chacterized such activities as a fight !!!!!! I'm typing slowly because I'm using my dialing finger to call the ATF, the TSA, the FBI, the CIA, and Nancy Pelosi to warn them. Here's the deadly evidence so that you, too, will understand that the savants have seen all, told all with regard to this threat to the American (liberal/progressive) way of life [emphasis added by the Friends of Humanity]: This is a call to all Regiment Members, I am calling on all strong wille...
