Absolutely insane.
Officially that is a city cost and not a federal one....
New York has been insane ever since Blue Oyster Cult incorporated the cowbell....
I see nothing wrong with regulating beverages in the interest of the public health.
It's no different than setting standards for drinking water or limiting coffee tempurature so it does not scald a consumer.
@delacrat: Then why not make beer illegal?
What is to prevent vendors in NYC from selling 19.9 oz sodas? Or, for that matter, offering two 10 oz sodas?
