Public Policy Polling: Gary Johnson at 7% in New Hampshire

The Libertarian candidate pulls 2 points away from President Obama, 3 points from Governor Romney, and 2 points from "Undecided."

In terms of "Favorability," the pro-marriage equality, pro-marijuana legalization Johnson somewhat surprisingly does better with Moderate, Somewhat Conservative, and Very Conservative voters.

On the other hand, in almost every category a solid majority of the voters don't know enough about him to have an opinion.

The key comment here is that nationwide, Gary Johnson is barely known outside of the currently supercharged Libertarian circle. When people do get to know him, they like him hence his meteoric ascendancy in the party. If he can keep these poll numbers up, he will hit the national stage and go head to head with Obamney.
